Nottingham Forest: promising showing at Anfield, but home struggles continue

Oliver Glasner’s team opened their league campaign with a narrow 1-0 loss to Leeds before securing a 2-2 draw away at Liverpool. At Anfield, Forest twice moved in front through Dan Ndoye and Morgan Gibbs-White, only to see Liverpool respond with an equaliser on both occasions.

However, their record at the City Ground remains a serious concern. Nottingham Forest have managed just one victory in their last 12 Premier League home fixtures. Their recent record against Tottenham offers some encouragement, though, with Forest winning each of their previous four league encounters with Spurs.

Tottenham: back-to-back defeats without a goal

Roberto De Zerbi’s Tottenham have endured a difficult opening to the campaign, suffering a 3-0 defeat against Brentford before going down 2-0 to Newcastle. This marks the first time in Premier League history that Spurs have started a season with two consecutive defeats while failing to score in either match.

Tottenham’s struggles after falling behind are equally alarming. Since the beginning of last season, Spurs have conceded first on 22 occasions and have failed to win any of those matches, highlighting a major weakness in their ability to recover from difficult situations.
